Talking about inspiration, Macho says: "The view from my studio windows is the most New York of New York scenes and a never ending source of inspiration as well as a constant reminder that although I'm constantly dreaming of the desert, I'm physically in New York. Brooklyn, to be exact." Her inspirations include inert ornamentation, frivolous narrative, lucky charms, and under-examined psychedelia. Her drawings appear in covers of Devendra Banhart or Cocorosie albums.
